Sunday in my city - Central Park, Sydney

You can't live in Sydney and not have had Spice Alley, Kensington Street Social and the revamped Old Clare Hotel flood your social media. Right next door is the most underrated and possibly best development in the city, Central Park. A residential development built around open spaces that are utilised for events, markets or just locals having barbeques, the shopping centre attached offers a focus on art and food, making it the perfect destination for a lazy Sunday outing.

Currently hosting the perfect VIVID experience for those wrangling little ones, you can easily grab yourself a deck chair to watch the lights while the kids frolic on the lawn. Every second Sunday there are the Brewery Yard Markets or cross the grounds to White Rabbit Gallery.

One of the charms of Central Park are the games scattered throughout the complex - table top Galaga and Pacman, pool, table soccer and ping pong,  all for free. We often have a family challenge before heading up to Din Tai Fung for the Michelin starred xaio long bao.

The highlight for me, however, is the three works by Adnate on the top floor. to see this great talent in street art is reason enough to make a trip over but I assure you that you'll spend a great afternoon exploring the other offerings.

Practicalities:
No parking on site but plenty of paid parking available near by.
An easy walk from Central Station.
