Sunday in my city - The Grounds, Alexandria (in pictures)

If you live in Sydney, you are already well aware of The Grounds, the funky hipster cafe and bar nestled in the industrial area of Alexandria. If you're visiting our fair city and after brunch with a difference, or dinner and drinks, then head out to The Grounds of Alexandria.

The Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch, while The Potting Shed is the cocktail bar open for lunch and dinner.

You can even call a pick up if you're heading in from the city.

There's woodfire pizzas in the outdoor area, and the famous pig, hens and goats for the kids to see.

There's plenty to explore in this visual cornucopia, and in this case, the pictures say it better than a thousand words.

Don't forget your camera and bring your appetite. However, a word of warning, be prepared to queue with the locals.

  2. The Grounds looks like a fun place. Looks a bit far from CBD. Is it easy access by train or bus?

  3. You can get the train to Green Square and then it's a 10 min walk (1km). Or 15 mins in a taxi.
