Trying to get the teens you join in with your younger child activities can be tricky but it is do-able. These holidays try to lure them out as you explore this glorious city.
1. Note this exhibition is now closed: Sugar Republic is the pop up Insta-museum celebrating our sugary delights. Roving candy on offer and free ice cream will please the little ones, while the fun of playing around with the backdrops should be enough to get the teens to smile for a bit. Buy tickets here. Open until the end of April.
3. Lunch or a cake at The Grounds in Alexandria. The little ones will like the animals and pretty displays, and the older kids will like the food! There are Easter activities to sign up for too.
4. Even if too old for the playgrounds, Fagan Park is well worth a visit. The Gardens of Many Nations enchant adults as well as kids, and the historic homestead is a glimpse into old Sydney. Free (though paid parking).
5. A great daytrip is to Sculpture at Scenic World. Not only do you see art installations, but the back drop is the stunning Blue Mountain vistas and valley rain forest. Scenic World has other exhibitons on these holidays. The Sculptures are only their in April/May.
6. The Calyx has an installation of carnivorous plants in artistic display. Bound to intrigue all ages. Free with gold coin donation.
8. Take a ferry ride. Anywhere.
9. Explore the Grand Pacific Drive and stop for lunch at the fabulous Headlands Hotel in Austinmer
10. Go somewhere you've never been before. Explore as a family.
Whatever you do, make the most of the holidays!
