One of the highlights of our trip to Koh Samui was lunch at The Library. If you can't stay at the resort then at least go for lunch. They had plenty of options for the kids and we shared the Banquet special, which was a set lunch with dessert and a beer for a reasonable price (which I've forgotten). It's a hip and groovy restaurant, and it was by far the best meal we had the entire ten days, so while not cheap, it's definitely worth it.
The main meal was served in a four tiered tiffin box, three curries and rice.

The kids opted for more simpler fare (and alas more western) but were blown away with the elaborate desserts. Even the kids ice cream seemed special!

The restaurant over looks the beach and the trees provide plenty of shade so we happily spent a few hours relaxing over our meal. For those that feel the heat, then inside is equally inviting.

The hotel itself is described as a 'unique conceptual resort' and is very much a design hotel, with sculptures littering the grounds and interesting architectural designs for the villas, incorporating the trees or the open air spaces.

The red pool is quite a sight, and divided the kids on if they would want to swim in it, but with the bright blue of the ocean just beyond, it made a very striking contrast.
I believe at night there's an artistic, colourful lighting display but alas, we didn't experience that.
Located on Chaweng Beach, it's perfect for shops or to stroll up the beach to other fine diners! If you are looking to stay in Koh Samui, I'd definitely look to stay here!
