EDIT: Currently in Adelaide. Book Here.
In Sydney with dates extended to November, if you haven't experienced it yet, the Van Gogh Alive is well worth seeing. The music (and apparently changing smells but with our masks, we didn't notice those) make for an immersive delight for the senses, with the visuals surrounding you. Note that the pictures do nothing to share the magnitude of the images that surround you, no matter where you stand.
This exhibition is just what we need right now. It's uplifting in it's beauty. You are temperature checked and masked before entering (bring your own or you can purchase one) and requested to space once inside.

I saw a Klmit immersion in Paris a couple of years ago. It was fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI told so many people to go to that! It looked divine!
DeleteIt looks wonderful. I hope we get a chance to see it here.
ReplyDeleteI saw this exhibition in Tel Aviv. It was a wonderful treat!
ReplyDeleteI saw this last year in Paris and then here in Toronto in July. I would see it again.
ReplyDeleteI'll admit I loved it in Toronto due to the social distancing rules. Circles on floor for you to remain in. So much less crowded than in Paris.
Fascinating! I'd love to see this exhibition!
ReplyDeleteI saw this on a series on Netflix. It makes one feel like they are a part of the painting. I think that would be wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI saw it in Brussels a few years ago. It was my first immersive experience. really impressive.
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing things they can do with the art displays, that would be so much fun to see! Thanks for your thoughts about it, I'm sure the smells would be rather interesting :)
ReplyDeleteYour link at 'My Corner of the World' this week is greatly appreciated!!
I like every of Van Gogh's paintings. They are mesmerising. In fact I have one of them in a puzzle which I display in my house :D Btw, glad to know you and hope you will find many writing assignments.
ReplyDeleteJust submitted my Fairy Tale for the next round of the NY Midnight Contest. Was so stoked to go thru. Fingers crossed I make the final cut, but it will be a long shot! I have however, done a PB for me in this comp, so feel like I'm winning all the same!
DeleteI went to the Klimt one in Paris a couple of years ago so I can only imagine how magical this must have been. Lucky you! #culturedkids

ReplyDeleteThank you also for the visit, Lydia! Happy WW and a beautiful week ahead!
This looks very much like the Vincent Van Gogh show I saw in Atelier des Lumières last autumn. It was quite a visual feast, and worked well for all ages. I've not seen something on that scale before or since. Thanks for joining in with #CulturedKids
ReplyDeleteI believe it is.
