There are two delightful exhibitions currently at the Museum of Sydney until the 18th April. They will charm your inner child with the fun stimulation of the senses.

The first needs no introduction. We are lucky to have an installation from the extraordinary Yayoi Kusama visiting our city.
Narcissus Garden invites you to view yourself reflected in 1200 mirrored balls. The initial glance is one image, but soon you find yourself and your thoughts bobbing in a sea of different images, like a kaleidoscope.

The second is a digital immersive experience where the sights and sounds of the Australian bush come to life in an
Enchanted Valley. You end up watching the screening a few times as you can't take it all in initially.

Both are suitable for all ages, and this will be a visit to the museum that the kids won't complain about!

those balls are fascinating
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see that digital display. I imagine I would be inspired to write something.
ReplyDeleteWhat fascinating museums/displays! TFS!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Yayoi Kusama, always a joy to see her work. I love the digitial work too - so good to see art in different, exciting forms #culturedkids
ReplyDeleteThe new exhibits look awesome!
ReplyDeleteIt's getting hard to be artistically original nowadays, isn't it? As long as the artist feels fulfilled with what they're doing, that's the main thing. Public approbation and recognition is secondary, as the primary purpose of art is essentially a selfish process that satisfies the creative urges of the artist.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme!
