Not far from the famous Maxwell Food Centre is the Amoy Food Centre, less tourists though still very busy. There are a number of stalls with long queues or locals and others that have been written up in guides or blogs attracting the tourists.
My friend went with a seafood soup that had a long, long line - but was worth the wait as she thought it was the best thing she ate all trip. I opted for some Michelin Bib Noodles, which were lovely - tasty but not oily. I also got some fried dumplings from a different stall. So for what we ate, 100% recommended. We got the delicious lime juice to cool down.
The other reason was the art. I heard it had another work by the artist who made the controversial smoking Samsui woman mural, Sean Dunston. So it was an art and food excursion - my two favourite things. However it is actually by Ceno with ACS students.
Practicalities:
Your outing looks fascinating — including the food and the art works.
